1. Interjection (विस्मयादिबोधक)
An interjection is a word used to express sudden feelings or emotions.
Hindi Meaning:
अचानक आने वाली भावना या भाव को व्यक्त करने वाले शब्द।
Examples:
Oh!, Wow!, Alas!, Hurrah!, Bravo!, Ouch!
Sentences:
- Wow! What a beautiful painting!
- Alas! He failed in the exam.
- Hurrah! We won the match.
2. Types of Interjections (इंटरजेक्शन के प्रकार)
1. Joy (खुशी)
Hurrah!, Wow!, Yahoo!
Example: Hurrah! We won.
2. Sorrow (दुःख)
Alas!, Oh no!, Oops!
Example: Alas! The old man died.
3. Surprise (आश्चर्य)
Oh!, What!, Really!

4. Greeting (अभिवादन)

3. How Interjections Are Used? (उपयोग के नियम)
✔ Mostly used at the beginning of a sentence.
✔ Interjections are followed by “!” (exclamation mark).
✔ They express emotion, not meaning.
Examples:

- Oh! I forgot my keys.
- Hey! Listen to me.

✔ They are used to express sudden emotions only.
✔ They can be removed without changing sentence meaning.
Example:
Wow! She danced well.
→ She danced well. (Meaning same)

Note:
Exclamation mark “!” is very important in interjections.
