View Menu in Microsoft Word 2019
The View tab is used to change how the document is displayed on the screen.
View Tab Main Tools: Views, Show, Zoom, Window, and Macros.
The Views group helps you choose different ways to see the document.
- Read Mode: Best mode for reading documents.
- Print Layout: Shows how the document will look when printed.
- Web Layout: Shows the document like a webpage.
- Outline: Shows the document structure.
- Draft: Shows a simple text view of the document.
- Immersive Reader: Provides a focus reading mode.
The Show group helps display helpful tools on the screen.
- Ruler: Shows the ruler for alignment.
- Gridlines: Shows background grid lines.
- Navigation Pane: Helps you move quickly through the document.
The Zoom group helps you change the size of the document view.
- Zoom: Adjusts the zoom level.
- 100%: Shows the document at normal size.
- One Page: Shows one page on the screen.
- Multiple Pages: Shows many pages at the same time.
- Page Width: Fits the page to the width of the screen.
The Window group is used to manage multiple document windows.
- New Window: Opens the same document in a new window.
- Arrange All: Arranges open document windows on the screen.
- Split: Splits the window into two parts.
- View Side by Side: Views two documents side by side.
- Switch Windows: Switches between open documents.
Macros: Records and runs a series of tasks automatically.
