Page Layout Menu in Microsoft Word 2019

The Page Layout tab is used to control the page setup and paragraph arrangement of a document.

Page Layout Main Tools: Margins, Orientation, Size, Columns, Breaks, Line Numbers, Hyphenation, Indent, Spacing, Align, and Arrange.
📄 Page Setup Group

The Page Setup group helps you control the page size and layout.

  • Margins: Sets the space between the text and the edges of the page.
  • Orientation: Changes the page to Portrait or Landscape.
  • Size: Selects the paper size such as A4, Letter, or Legal.
  • Columns: Divides the text into columns.
  • Breaks: Moves content to a new page or section.
  • Line Numbers: Adds line numbers on the side of the page.
  • Hyphenation: Controls how words break at the end of a line.
📑 Paragraph Group

The Paragraph group helps you set spacing and indentation for paragraphs.

  • Indent Left: Moves the paragraph away from the left side.
  • Indent Right: Moves the paragraph away from the right side.
  • Spacing Before: Adds space above a paragraph.
  • Spacing After: Adds space below a paragraph.
🧩 Arrange Group

The Arrange group is used to manage pictures, shapes, and other objects in the document.

  • Selection Pane: Helps manage objects easily.
  • Align Objects: Aligns objects properly on the page.
  • Group: Combines multiple objects into one.
  • Rotate: Rotates selected objects.

The Page Layout tab is very useful for changing page size, margins, orientation, spacing, and object position.
